About the job

Accountant who will be responsible for performing and managing varied accounting functions. Functions include but are not limited to general ledger account reconciliations, cash reporting and management, recording and posting entries in the financial system, preparation of sales tax, individual & corporate tax returns, and performance of ad-hoc accounting projects as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required
  • CPA candidate is required
  • 12+ years accounting experience
  • Prior experience should include general ledger accounting, balance sheet account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and interaction with external auditors or participation on external audit engagements

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experienced with accounting/financial software
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles
  • Adaptability and ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Strong administrative and organization skills with attention to detail and follow-up required
